Information Collected

While you are browsing the pages

General information, such as which pages users access, is automatically collected by our web server through use of your IP addresses. An IP address is a number automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are on the internet. We use your IP address to monitor the number of pages accessed, help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our web site. We do not link your IP address to anything personally identifiable, so you will remain anonymous in the analysis of these logs.

Registration forms

By its very nature the Recycling Appeal requires visitors choosing to participate submit some basic contact information through our signup forms. This information includes contact name, organisation name, address, telephone and fax numbers and your email address. We will use this contact information to send you information about our company, new scheme and web site features, special promotions and competitions. You may opt-out of receiving future postal or e-mailings; see the "your choice to opt-out" below. These mailings are made in addition to the fundamental scheme functions in tracking cartridge and mobile phone collections and in making payments to our registered fundraisers.

At the point of registration, fundraisers are asked whether they would like to feature as a registered charity on this site. This opt-in feature enables visitors to browse some descriptive information about your charity to aid their decision as to whether to support you in this scheme. The information presented does not include access to your registered contact information. This public access information is later provided and approved by you, solely for the purpose of promoting your charity as a participant in this scheme.

"Recycle this page, email a friend"
The Recycling Appeal web site contains an ’Email a Friend‘ function for sending details of this web site to friends and colleagues. This function starts up your own email tool and is not stored or used for any other purpose.
