Recycling Appeal Start Date: November 2007 Registered Charity No: 8703 |
DEBRA Ireland is a national charity set up to raise awareness of and offer support to patients and families affected by the rare genetic skin condition, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). This is a very distressing and painful disorder which causes the skin layers and internal body linings to separate and blister at the slightest touch. Those born with EB have skin as fragile as the wings of a butterfly and as easily damaged. Over 300 families in Ireland are affected by this debilitating condition. For more information please visit: www.debraireland.org.
Fundraising Project
Currently DEBRA Ireland does not receive guaranteed annual government funding – in 2006, less than 1% of our funding came from the Government. Therefore, fundraising and donations are vital to enable DEBRA Ireland to fund patient support services and research into a cure and an effective treatment for EB.
Please Note: We recycle all mobile phones however we only recycle HP, Canon, Lexmark and Dell cartridges. Any other cartridges will raise no funds for your chosen charity.
