Charity Recycling Appeal – Terms and Conditions

In order to get the most out of your Recycling Appeal, please take note of the following:

1) Price

Please refer to the Recycling Appeal price guide for a list of the latest values for all of the inkjet cartridges, toner cartridges and mobile phones that we accept.

The types of product we accept and the prices we pay can vary on a monthly basis.

If you are in any doubt as to the acceptance value of any cartridge or mobile phone please call our customer services team on 1800 933 616.

2) Acceptance

A full list of items that we can recycle are listed on our price list.  We cannot accept toner bottles, ribbons, Epson inkjet cartridges, refilled or remanufactured cartridges, analogue phones, mobile phone cases or chargers, pagers or other electronic equipment. 

Broken cartridges have no value so please ensure your cartridges are packed carefully prior to collection.  Please refer to our packing and collection instructions for more information.

3) SIM Cards

Recycling Appeal will not accept liability for any loss of data incurred in the event of SIM cards and customer data not being removed from handsets.  Any charges, payments, losses or associated costs with any handset returned to us shall be the sole responsibility of the handset owner.  

Any SIM cards received will be destroyed and disposed of appropriately.

4)Payment

Payments will be issued on a monthly basis providing your account has reached a minimum of €34.  Payments will be made by cheque or BACS depending on which method you have requested.

5) Postage and Collections

Recycling Appeal does not take any responsibility for items lost or damaged during transit.  Please refer to the packing and collection instructions to ensure your items reach us in the same condition as they were sent.

6) CD and DVD Recycling

6.1 Every CD album returned will earn 50 cents for your charity

6.2 All items collected must have their disc, original artwork and case.

6.3 We cannot pay for the following:

  • CD singles or EP’s
  • Promotional CD’s (ones given away free in newspapers or magazines)
  • Copies or fakes
  • Items without a barcode
  • Items marked not for resale
  • Items with missing artwork, cases or discs
  • Discs which are badly damaged
  • More than four or any one item per 250 collected.

6.4 We can arrange a free collection when you have 100 CD’s or more.

6.5 Alternatively we can collect a smaller amount when they are picked up as part of your printer cartridge and mobile phone collection.

6.6 We reserve the right to reject any items that are beyond repair, incomplete or do not meet our terms and conditions.

6.7 We are unable to return any rejected items.

6.8 CDs must be securely packaged and not loose.

6.9 Recycling Appeal cannot accept responsibility for items damaged in transit, it is your responsibility to ensure goods are securely sealed before sending them.
